AfC-ECD hosts a delegation from Zambian Ministry of Education

The African Center For Early Childhood Development (AfC-ECD) is pleased to host a delegation of directors and experts from the Zambian Ministry of Education for a three-day exchange visit here in Addis Ababa to learn from the remarkable progress and achievements made by the Addis Ababa City Administration in strengthening Early Childhood Development (ECD) over the past years.

The Zambian delegation led by Prisca C. Simukonda , Standards, Assessment and Evaluation Director on March 4, 2026 was warmly received and welcomed at the Center by Dr. Ing. Eshetayehu Kinfu Tesfaye (Dr.-Ing.), head of the Strategic Programs Management Office (SPMO) of the Addis Ababa City Administration and AfC-ECD Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Kebede Worku , deputy CEO Dr. Meseret Zelalem and other members of the Center’s leadership team.

Later in the afternoon, the delegation also met with officials of the Ethiopian Ministry of Education at the premises of the Ministry to exchange experiences on Early Childhood Education and Development initiatives in the Ethiopian education system.

The delegation is also expected to engage in further exchanges and ECD site visits in the coming two days to deepening the experience sharing effort.

The meeting provided an opportunity for productive discussions and knowledge sharing on policies, programs, and best practices in advancing ECD.
