Tariku Melkie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and an MSc in Development Economics. With over nine years of experience in planning, monitoring, and evaluation within government organizations, he has played a key role in strategic planning, data management, and professional reporting.
Currently serving as the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Officer at the African Center for Early Childhood Development (AfC-ECD), Tariku is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the center’s MEL systems. His work includes developing a comprehensive MEL framework with key performance indicators (KPIs), conducting field visits for practical assessments, and creating real-time dashboards for tracking program effectiveness across early childhood development sectors.
Additionally, Tariku focuses on stakeholder capacity building, collaborates on monitoring system mapping, and provides regular program outcome reports. His commitment to data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement ensures that AfC-ECD’s initiatives effectively support early childhood development
