Solomon Tesfaye Telila (Phd)

Solomon Tesfaye Telila is a Senior Advisor to the Presidents of Central Ethiopia and Sidama Regional States at the Africa Center for Early Childhood Development (AfC-ECD). With a PhD at the University of Delhi in India, focusing on innovative approaches to development.

With over 20 years of leadership and governance experience, Solomon has held prominent roles, including Deputy Director General of Ethiopian Mainstream Media and State Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office. He chaired the National Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force and the Comprehensive Refugee Response Framework Steering Committee, collaborating with organizations like IOM, ILO, UNHCR, and the EU to address critical challenges such as human trafficking and refugee integration, particularly for children and women.

As a published author on migration and refugee issues, Solomon brings expertise in policy formulation, stakeholder engagement, and cross-sector collaboration. At AfC-ECD, he leverages his skills to implement innovative, culturally relevant ECD initiatives, empowering African children to realize their potential and contribute to sustainable development.
