Sintayehu Abate Temesgen is an Assistant Professor of Public Health and a PhD candidate with over 16 years of professional experience. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health, specializing in early childhood development, maternal and child health, and health policy.
As the ECD Coordinator and Research Consultant at the African Center for Early Childhood Development (AfC-ECD), Sintayehu plays a critical role in advancing health and development initiatives for children across Africa. He has contributed to significant studies, including the Baseline Early Childhood Survey in Addis Ababa, and has extensive experience managing health programs, developing training manuals, and conducting Master Training of Trainers (ToTs) in early childhood development.
Sintayehu is the founder of the Ethiopian Journal of Public Health and Nutrition and has published over 40 research articles in international journals. He also serves as the Chairperson of the Health Professionals Assessor Panel in Addis Ababa and is a member of the Grand Challenge Ethiopia Taskforce.
With his dedication to research, leadership, and capacity building, Sintayehu continues to shape policies and strategies that strengthen health systems and promote early childhood development across the continent.
